You could be right about the flow rates, I'm certainly no authority on
those things, and it's been way too many years since I took Fluid
Mechanics.  So if someone is looking for a good manifold they probably
oughta pay attention to the year models you cited.  I can assure you that
diameter of the opening in the manifold that came off of my '82 Caddy is
only slightly larger than one of the outlet holes in the 4 into 2 that I
got off a wrecked '70s rabbit,... like maybe 1/8" larger ID, but only one
opening instead of two.  It must be one othe "not-preferred" models.  The
main reason I don't like them is the C clips.  The engineer that came up
with those should be sued for malpractice.  They are a major PITB to work
with, even if you have the special tool.  Probably a cost cutting/ease of
manufacturing thing,... like leaving the clips out of some of the 5-speed
CR transmissions.  Cheaper isn't always better, huh?
