RE: sucky idle problems with the Mad Max turbo roc



My parts guy suggested that over time the warmup regulator can accumulate a
buildup of scale and rust, and that one way to fix it temporarily is to go
out first thing in the morning, before you've started the car, and open the
hood.  Then start the car, and immediately run to the front, place a piece
of wood against the regulator, and whack it firmly with a hammer a few
times.  He said this can dislodge the crap in there if you're lucky.  After
that, he said, take it off and let it soak in carb cleaner, and then blow
through the larger port with an air gun with a rubber tip to blow all the
crap out.

I can't say from experience that it works, but it's not too hard to take
off, so it's worth a try.
