ACN tranny?

hey...a guy has offered me a 16v scirocco, but he had the tranny replaced
with an ACN tranny that he claimed was from a 16v jetta........i know that
the ACN is a close ratio box, but is it from a 16v?....(i only knew of AGB
and 2Y trannies being in 16v's)....he says that it was from an 87 jetta

anyone know for sure?.....i'm mainly buying the car for parts, so if it
doesn't have a 16v tranny, i'm not sure i'm intrested
