Addition to Torque steer part II

Sorry, I forgot to mention a couple of things:

It has been to a frame (chassis) straightening place and it is within 2mm of
the specifications.
It is also within 2mm of every measurement I can make on my other car, which
drives fine.
It had a new steering rack after the accident with the insurance money :-)
'cos the old one had 160k miles on it.
*I can't remember if this affected it or not because I wasn't driving it
much at the time* Oops!

I think I agree with the theories that say something must be moving which
shouldn't be, so I'll have a damn good look at the weekend.
But, this still doesn't solve the problem of the wheel being in the wrong
place!

Cheers,

Mike Smith

>>Poly bushes - the car had these already, about three months old. I'll
check they're ok.
>>Lower arm bolts - tight! very!!! (lower brace bar fitted)
>>Bent chassis - I'm beginning to think that is a red herring (do you have
that saying in the >>US?)
>>Broken spot welds - good idea! I'll have a look.
>>Broken ball joints - I think they're ok (not very old) but I'll have a
look.
