Re: Scirocco: Oil Undercoat?

Well, basically, it's just spraying motor oil on places that are prone to rusting,
and then letting it drip off in a sanitary fashion, and then driving down a dirt
road to coat it with dust. A place near me in Allstead, NH does it - the place is
called Esslinger's. They do a really good job, have a good setup, and only charge
$40. Having it done once a year really saves cars. My dad had a '72 Volvo 145 Wagon
that had been in the NE for 12 years and was rust-FREE because he oil undercoated it
the whole time. It had well over 300K on it and got driven all winter, too. If you
can find any place near you that does this or something similar, I bet it could save
that car.
    HTH and Good luck!
