seals, seals, and finally seals :) I think that is what toasted my 16v's
clutch, and I can not do it myself, as my apartment complex's manager seems
to hate the idea of people being mechanically inclined and working on their

What should I look for when I am putting a 16v into my project?

I will probably be getting the motor this next weekend, but won't
be putting it in until the end of October.  Any suggestions at what
needs to be looked at/worked on when I have it out all that time?

Any mild performance mods?   
What kind of clutch should I put in when I finally mount the motor?

the engine only has 75k on it, but I would like to avoid any future
problems by replacing wear items with new while its out.
