Electrical Crap...

<x-flowed>Hey all -

Well, my 86' 16v beastie is in my garage with the front
driveaxle removed, a dead battery, and oil leak and a new coolant
tank. My car totally died while sitting in my driveway on Friday
because the rear defroster stayed on even after the key was out.
After jumping the car and driving for a bit, I realized that not only
the defroster, but the wipers and blower stay on after the key is out
as well. What the hammer?!?!? Anyways, I have another battery to drop
in there since the other one has been drained totally dead twice, but
I'd like to sort out the electrical probs before I do this. Anyone
have this problem before?
While working on the oil leak, I noticed that the outer right
and inner left CV boots were leaking so I'm in the middle of changing
those out. It would have been done on Saturday if the stupid shop I
bought em from gave me the right freaking parts. Piss me off...
I put in a new coolant tank after I discovered that the old
one had a crack in it. Seems to be ok, but I won't really know until
I get it out on the road.
Is there an oil overflow valve on these cars? I know I
accidentally put in too much oil and I'm wondering if that caused the
leaking somewhere. After I changed the oil, I cleaned the whole
underside of the car and started it up to see if I could find a leak
somewhere. It looks totally clean - don't see anything anywhere. I
checked the head gasket and hoses... got me. Anybody got a clue?

Oh yeah - if you could email me personally along with sending a
message to the list, that would be great as I'm on the digest version
of this madness.Heh heh...
