Are you refering to the poly strut bearings? For A1's, it's either
the poly set (the metal parts aren't being made anymore), crappy
stock (available pretty much anywhere), good stock (Febi/Bilsteins)
or camber plates. I have a set of the metal/poly ones, and don't
really notice any additional harshness, and the added bonus is they
last a really really long time. Word of advice on the Hor springs,
don't mate them with the progas shocks...unless you like to drop
the fillings out of your face. The turbogas are probably a better
match...or if you have the choice, don't use the Hor springs at all.
As far as the poly control arm bushings, I've heard that they work
really great, for a relatively short amount of time (in comparison
to stock). I've heard stories of poly control arm bushings that
have fallen apart...I hear the delrin ones hold up better. Send off
an email to EM Sport, BSI or Shine for some racers opinions/experiences.
You might also want to replace your ball joints while your at this
'fixing-up-my-control-arms' thing...

good luck!
