2nd gear grind - solution

I'm posting this to both VWofT and the Scirocco lists since
the subject has come up on both recently.  Sorry for the
cross posting.

For those of you (myself included) who get grinding first
thing in the morning when shifting from first to second,
try the following:

Depress clutch, move shifter from first to neutral, then
release clutch.  Depress clutch again and shift to second.

Works every time, with no grind.
