Yeah, there are only a handful of manufacturers that make a 14x7" rim for the
street. -Panasport, Compomotive, Revolution... It really does kick ass 'cause
there's just as much width as your 15x7" out there but  a little bit more
sidewall to suck up the big bumps. The other thing is that you can run your
tires at anything between 30ish to 45ish lbs. This takes away much of the flex
that you couldd attribute to the taller profile. But more importantly, it allows
for much more of a bias from front to rear.

That is, with my old 195/50 tires I'd run something like 33lbs front and 30lbs
rear. Any more or less than these amounts and the ride would be intolerably
stiff or the handling sloppy. With the 14" set up, I've got  a lot more room to
play with pressures to see what works.
