cat install. with header

i just ripped out my exhaust manifold, downpipe, and cat and installed a
eurospec header on my 8716v. i already have an autotech sportuned aluminized
system on there and i was wondring how to fit the cat on . the problem is my
header is alot longer than the downpipe was and i cant really cut much on the
header because it has a ball joint. i am just running a straight pipe without
a cat, but ma is ridiculous about emissions and i have to put the cat on to
pass. let me know if you have ideas.thanks
