Mike, your buddy was driving over 100mph over a crest and you're surprised that
he became airborne? Every time I do that (under controlled conditions, mind you)
I go sailing. Think about it. That he became a projectile was a matter of simple
inertia. No shocks in the world will keep your car from following a ballistic
trajectory.

They may have been improperly adjusted and could have lent to some chassis
instability or whatever but there is no way that a shock can launch a car into
the air. What, did they suddenly pressurize, creating a jacking movement, and
send the car towards the sky? Nah, it would take "Knight Rider" technology to do
that! Think about it.
