wtf? stealership gave me the wrong transfer pump???

wtf?

i paid 83 bucks for a transfer pump for the 87 16v. i bring the thing home 
and today i finally got to taking apart the assembly. well, as far as i can 
tell, they gave me the wrong pump!! the pics are at:

the length is not what i currently have.
the body is different in diameter.
the size of the filter/strainer "tube" is different

wtf??

the part number of the new one is: 357 906 092 C

any help appreciated! thanks!
