take a look at what my friend did to increase suspension travel in the rear :

if you think the car is low in the pictures, just remember that the engine
wasn't even in then!! With the car so low parking is almost impossible without
rubbing the fenders but just driving around you hardly notice.
He had to remove half of the front skirt that's in the picture 'cause it was
resting on the ground. The ride is actually quite nice. He installed eurosport
camber plates in the front but they didn't last too long, so he had them
reworked and reinforced.
The shocks are Bilstein race and the springs are tiny Eibach ERS with custom
coil-over struts. The shocks don't bottom out very easily, i'm guessing that at
rest the pistons are almost at the top, since when the car is jacked the wheels
hardly drop at all.
