I would suggest 10w30 for break in, and for the next couple of oil changes
until 5k miles or so.  If you're interested in a synth, then might be
the time.  The dino stuff allows the rings to seat better.  For preoiling,
you can drive the oil pump with the intermediate shaft before you put
on the timing belt, but after the head is installed.  Just remember to
install all the oil pressure/temp sensors...don't ask...it makes quite
a mess. :)
