The hoses pass thru the intake manifold, but are then plumbed to the
water-actuated choke mechanism on the passenger side of the original
(POS) Zenith 2B2 carb.  At least, this was the original config of my
California spec 75 1.5 motor.  The coolant passing thru would actually
cool the intake some from the heat of the exhaust manifold below.
