kp/cm2 = bar?

i found a vdo gauge while junkyard hunting today , and it's got kp/cm2 on
the top and has markings that go up to 10......anyone have any idea what
it is?......possibly an oil pressure gauge?.....i dont know what car it
came out of.....i found it sitting near a golf (which i know it didnt come
out of
