just wanted to let you guys know that right after i e-mailed that message i
went outside and looked at the intermittant wiper relay.  the guy had the
wrong relay in that spot.  i replaced it with the one out of my 8v and the
wipers work fine.  next question.  the clutch cable in my 16v is obviously out
of the wrong type VW.  the cable is to short.  so i called the dealer today
for the right one and they told me it was gonna cost me $106, ouch!!  anyway i
have replaced my 8v's clutch cable before and it was nowhere near that much
money.  Is there a difference in the two clutch cables?  if there is, is there
anybody out there that wants to part with a slightly cheaper cable?  If not
then i'll just have to buy the expensive one.  thanks
