[Non-Roc]Passat #1 Midsize

Saw this in the paper today.  Consumer Reports has listed the Passat as
the #1 Midsize vehicle in the US over the Camry.  Apparently it just
"nosed it out", but the Camry had been in the #1 spot for 16 yrs.  Not
that performance drivers like ourselves would care about what Consumer
Reoprts has to say (I mean is gas mileage really one of your top five
reasons for buying a car?).  But if the unwashed masses of the world,
who use this magazine as a cornerstone for choosing a car, start pumping
their money into Volkswagen, could another unique, driving experience be
far behind.  Perhaps a MkIII with that 16V g60 Patrick was talking
about.
