leaking oil cooler?

hey everybody. for the longest time, my 16V has had quite a substantial
amount of oil loss. i attributed it to a leaking crankshaft seal and
leaky oil pan gasket. well, yesterday i started to look really closely
at the path the oil has been following. it looks as tho it's coming
from one of the sensors on the oil cooler.

there are two terminals that come from the top of the cooler. one is
the high pressure switch, and the other one is the oil temp sender. i'm
not sure which one it is, but i do know that it is the sensor closest to
the front of the car (i think that it has the yellow wire)

it seems to leak from somewhere around the sensor, travels down from
the oil cooler along to the oil pan. from there it goes all around the
entire oil pan gasket, sway bar, and basically everything on the bottom
of the car.

anyone else ever have this problem? what exactly is the procedure to
fix it? the sensor's nut looks to be 24mm, but i'm not sure if it's got
a washer or gasket underneath, and have no idea what i should torque the
nut down to. thanks for all yer help...
