More than likely, the manifold is cracked. I cant tell you how many dual
outlet manifolds I picked up in the junkyard thinking i scored (Not
having to remove it myself) only to find a small crack on each of them
that I saw. You can have it welded depending on where it is but it could
very well leak again. (Might want to use the stop drill method. Might
work in your case.)

The mating surface area on the head is so small that it could be majority
warped and it would still seal with new gaskets. (did you prep both
surfaces first before installation?)
So id say leave the head on the car and don't worry about that. Id
concentrate more on the manifold. Check that first and see if that your
problem first since it didn't leak before.
HTH!!
