I can't tell if our Euro-body kits are different from yours as I never
had the opportunity to see an american bodykit closely.
But I can verify that the holes in the back of the Scirocco are much larger
in
the U.S. versions compared to ours.
Mark Peele sent me a photo where those holes are clearly visible :

but these holes should not be a problem, they can be closed/made smaller.
At the time I had my Mk1, it was fashionnable to remove the rear bumper
completely, the holes were being covered then or fitted in fog/braking
lights.
