Windshield Replacment at home

posted to Watercooled News Group:

I've seen instructional tips before but a Deja search didn't turn them up
(yet).

Anyone have that magic list of steps to get the new windshield in with some
soap and a length of stout twine?

I have an A1, a salvaged windshield, and am hoping to retain the rubber
because A. It's hard to find & B. It's later than the original one (meaning
it's been replaced at least once in it's lifetime.)

Help is greatly appreciated,
TBerk
