3rd brake light

Hey all. inside the 3rd brake light there is that red cover plastic piece 
that goes over the bulbs. Well that red plastic piece came loose on my car 
and I can't figure out how to get to it. I know how to get to the bulbs but 
I didn't see how to get to that plastic piece.  Is the black cover piece 
just glued on?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
