mk3 tranny compatibility...

hey everyone, i'm sure that this topic has been covered before, but i
can't remember the outcome...	

	my question is this:  can an a3 tranny be mounted to a 16V motor?  i
like the looks of that CHE code tranny there, and was hoping that i
might be able to utilize it, as my current unit's stability is sort of
in question...
