hello fellow dubbers---got an 87 16v that needs an exhaust---just voicing my 
opinion on what i think i should put in(please rip me to pieces if you 
disagree). 
	the exhaust right now is cleverly rigged from a downpipe that is 
connected at the manifold with a c-clamp to pressurize that spot where the 
gasket has worn through! After that the downpipe is 100% broken from the cat 
and it made more sense to me to hacksaw the pipe further back and pull the 
whole thing out so as to hollow the cat(the 02 sensor was a casualty in this 
part of the mission).After i hollowed the cat the space between the downpipe 
and cat was mended using that black tape stuff and a couple radiator clamps.  
the cut section in the rear of the car was reconnected using a SOUP CAN and 
two more clamps, followed by some high temp paint (for that sexy look)..this 
hysterical rigjob has lasted me close to four months now and now what i want 
to do is install the euro downpipe, new gasket, and a lieztritz(mellow-tone) 
cat back----installed my grand total comes to about 400 bucks.......so there 
it it guys......gimme some suggestions if ya would
