Help! Problems with my 1987 16V!

List Gurus,

	I just pulled my car in from a drive in the rain, I noticed
a strange noise coming from the engine compartment, and it doesn't
sound too good.

	From what I hear, it's coming from the upper part of the engine
(although this may not be correct, as it is pretty difficult to discern
the exact location)...  It sounds like a 'clicking' or 'tapping' noise,
not unlike the noise that you get when your lifters are wearing down.
It's definatly something in the engine, (ie. the sound gets more rapid
when the engine speed increases).

	So what is my problem?  Or what other information do you need
to hook me up with the right answer?  Please, any assistance would be
greatly appreciated, I need the Rocco back on the road!
