ya, i was very disappointed in the A1 turnout. There wasn't a single really
modified Scirocco, no G60 conversions, vr6, turbos.. nothing!! No crazy colors
(except for the beige one). As Riley said, i don't think anyone had larger than
stock brakes. No one had modified interiors... i went there for ideas and got
squat!

The listers showed up in force, i think there were 6 scirocco showing from the
list! "We" got first places for modified and stock mk2!! .. I vote that the
Scirocco.org site has a banner saying that list members took home 2 first places
with pictures of the trophies.

... as you might of heard i got a ticket on the way down, i got caught doing 89
in a 65, but the cop was pretty nice and gave me 74 in a 65. Paully, that rat
basturd, got "broken speedometer", just 'cause he pulled over without the cop
asking him too, and the cop was happy that he didn't have to chase him down.

the hotel was a blast, the mad basturd lived up to his reputation yet again.

on sunday when we were leaving, Brett actually peeled out of the parking lot...
minutes before he keeped mumbling "the alcohol is broken the alcohol is broken, i
don't feel anything" over and over.... I think it's time for the 12 step AA
program!

on the way home, our 5 hour trip turned into a 11 1/2 hour trip 'cause me and
paully were so out of it, that we had to stop a few times to take 2 hour naps...
it wasn't a fun ride!!
i got home at 9:15, and i'm suppose to start work at 9:30 .. oh well.. i got in a
bit late 'cause i had to take a nap... got in at noon. Passed out as soon as i
got home and woke up 16 hours later.

i'm back to normal and ready for next week's Embrun show! .. and Toronto in a
couple weeks.
