The Bentley is definately the best I have seen. 

I also have a Haynes which is OK. Then I have a Chilton which came with
one of my cars - I usually replace the C with an S and drop the L when
describing the Chilton.

I have an "Idiot" book for the Bug (air cooled) which is very good - but
I have no idea if the watercooled book is any good.
