Re: Re:refrigerant

I just bought a book for about $12 yesterday at a local automotive chain
store; it's a Haynes publication devoted exclusively to servicing automotive
a/c systems. I haven't dug in too deeply yet, but it looks fairly
comprehensive. Now if I can just beg, borrow, or steal a vacuum pump . . .
.

On a related note, has anyone on the list ever looked into getting the
requisite EPA certification to permit purchasing the little cans? My local
counterman says he'll sell them all day to anyone who can produce a 609(?)
card for $17.99/can (not nearly as cheap as they were, but affordable when
you think that just over 2 cans will fill a 'rocco). I saw this website
that says you can study for and take the test online for $19.99, but I smell
a catch, and I haven't had time to research it properly.
