re: cleaning the engine bay - powerwash??

hi all
all this talk about cleaning the engine bay (and looking at mine - not too
bad, but it is a bit dirty from the engine bay work and the resulting
coolant, oil, grease, etc...) has got me wondering... what's the best way
to clean it? i live close to one of those outdoor quarter-operated car
washed with the power jet wash (water, soapy water, foam, etc..) if i cover
up the distr, alt. can i go wild and spray some engine degreaser and go crazy?
