I have heard that too, but again, with all the cars that ive worked on or
know about that have SS brake lines, there has never been a brake line
failure for any reason.

Of course, you forget the fact I worked (just quit heh!) on a ranch and
drove up and down a 1 mile twisty dirt road everyday over the last year.
Not to mention I used that road to practice my future as a rally driver
no matter what the road conditions. (Muddy roads are FUN!) :)

Let us not forget that my Scirocco doubled as a service vehicle for
bulldozers and farm equipment and I often had to drive out into a farm
field or construction sites to work on the POS vehicles. The car saw
severe duty over the last year and so far hasn't shown any problems as
you describe. My SS lines have been on my car for almost 100,000 miles.
This is just my experience.

I honestly believe that many people over hype the faults with the SS
lines. (Especially on the VW Newsgroup.) Ive yet to see a testimonial
from someone who has actually had the SS lines and had a failure. Have
you? This is why im so skeptical.
