[Tech: Engine cuts out - Epasode II]

Ok so:

Check:
  1-Fuel Filter
    a-Look for rust
i-If rusty buy new fuel system...
    b-replace anyway
(where is this thing? I looked quickly
and didn't see anything like a filter)
  2-Fuel Pump Relay
a-What does this thing look like?
(sorry my bentlys visiting my brother
while he works on his Scirocco)
  3-Fuel Pump
(I'm almost afraid to ask but, is it
       a mechanical pump or electric...
and is it easy to get at?)

I'm guessing that to check and replace the
filter it should only take about 20 min. (as
soon as I know where to look).

The fuel pump I'm not sure about, never seen
one on a VW before. On my old Roadrunner it
wasn't a fun chore... so I've got my fingers
crossed.

Thanks for any help!
