This is a fairly typical fuel pump failure symptom. The pump heats up, and
stops pumping enough pressure. Then you let it cool off for a bit, and it
will run again... for awhile, until it heats up again. Check your fuel
filter... dump it out backwards. If it's dirty, the gas that comes out will
be brown. Replace it. If that doesn't fix the problem, you might need a new
pump. The real test to make sure it's a fuel problem is to catch it when it
won't run, jump the fuel pump relay with the car off, pull an injector, pull
off the intake boot, and pull up the sensor plate. If no gas comes out of
the injector, then you know you have a fuel problem.
