Car stalled

I was driving all day on Sunday when it happen.  I was slow moving
traffic when it happen the first time.  When I tried to start the engine
it would rotate but not start. After waiting a while pushing my car out
of traffic, the car started again.  I proceeded to try to get my car
home, but when I rev the car past 3000 rpm the car stalled again. I
again tried to start the car but got the engine rotation but no start,
so pushing the car on the side of the road the engine started again . I
was able to get the car to the bridge that is links to the street to my
home where the engine stalled on the incline part of the bridge.  From
there I contact a friend to help me get my car home.  After that
incident I took the car to a repair shop, where they claim that they
don't see any problem with the car, seeing that the car didn't stall
while in their possession. And I was able to drive the car home from
shop.  My question is there something wrong with my car that I or the
mechanics at the shop can't detect, or should i just go on until
something else goes wrong.
