I had a problem where the ignition would occasionally cut out(tach drop to
zero, complete power loss), and to get it to restart, I would have to
quickly turn the key off then on. It was a sporadic problem. I tried
several different things, but the distributor fixed it. I'm pretty
confident it was the Hall sender. I plan on rebuilding my old distributor
with a new Hall sender, I'm just waiting on the part. Then I can hopefully
verify whether or not this was the problem.
