If you mean drivers rear like in the trunk....then it is probably the
taillight seal.

I just noticed that I also have a lot of water in the drivers side of the
trunk and after looking at it right after it rained I could trace the water
from under the lights

If you mean behind the drivers seat on the floor, it is probably coming in
the windsield seal and running along the floor under the
seat......especially if you park uphill :-)

I've got a water leak that's developed in the drivers rear of my '81
but I have yet been able to track down it's location.  The drain
tubes are clear in the hatch and still it leaks.  I've inspected the
hatch seal, and it's sealing fine.  Any other ideas?  Any prone leak
areas on the MK1's?
