Hey

Unfortunately, Volkswagen put the intake for the vents before the heater core
in the HVAC unit.  If you follow the connecting tubes under the dash you can
see where they mate up to the unit under the dash.

As far as I know all water cooled A1 chassis' where set up the same way.
