When did you first know you had to have a Scirocco for yourself?
		1977

What was it about the car that made you want one so badly?
There was an article in, I think, Road & Track.  Someone had fixed up a '77
Scirocco with 15x6 ATS rims shod w/ultra exotic Pirelli P-7 tires.  It was
lowered and had Recaro seats in it.  It was one mean looking car.  The lines
were perfect.
Then those VW commercials where these VW "engineers" are driving the heck out
of a Scirocco and they were getting airborne and screeching to a 180 degree
turn stop and the driver saying "Ausgezeichnet"!
