Seat question

Yes you can use a passenger side on the drivers side
but you need to make a few changes first. The belts will not work.
You will need to use the lower frame from your car and change the
fabric and foam. It is not that hard to do. You need to remove
the seat from the car. Remove the back from the bottom. At the bottom of
the
seat there are some staples or hooks. You just bend them out and
disassemble
the seat. Replace the cushions and re assemble the thing. I have not given
you all the details but I think you can get it if you try to do it.
I have re built two seats now. I first went to the junk yard and ripped
apart
a set. I looked at how it was made and then worked on my seats.
The back (top) is a bit tricky to convert. If you want to make it simple
then use the passenger back on your drivers side lower frame. The tilt
knob will be
on the door side and the latch to fold down the seat will be on
the opposite side but it works.

Good luck

My driver seat is in pretty bad shape and my question is, can I use a seat
intended for the passenger side as a driver seat? I figure that it should
be ok, but i just wanted to make sure. My other question is, what years
were leather seats offered on the scirocco?

TIA,
