I had cheap tires on my rabbit, it went everywhere in the snow, the small tires seem
to really
help. My scirocco doesn't do nearly as well. The rabbit had 185/80/r13's, the
scirocco has 195/50/r15's. Starting out in second gear and dropping tire pressure
helps. I have a friend with 4 studded snow tires on his 91 gti, this guy was going
like 35 through tight corners, I wouldn't have pushed it that far but he pulled it
off, surpised the hell out of me.
