   All coolant above the freezr plug will of course drain out. If you
already have a hole in the plug, you're halfway there. you may be able to
use a screwdriver or punch in the hole to pry the plug out. To replace, you
need enough clearance to evenly tap the new plug in. If you live in a cold
clime you might even want to replace this plug with a block heater at this
time.
