Yes, the inner CV joints are held onto the output flanges of the
transmission with 6 (or 8?)  8mm triple square bolts.  Use only the
proper tool, do not use a hex driver.  As far as the CV joint being
held onto the drive shaft, it's an 'inner' type of snap ring. Use
a set of snap ring pliers that open up as you squeeze them.  They'll
have a set of small paddles to grab the ring edges with.  Pretty
straight forward driving the joint off the shaft after that.  Don't
let the ball bearings fall out of the cage though, the individual
bearings kinda 'get-used' to being in whichever spot they're in, and
the CV joint might run a bit oddly if the bearings are swapped around.
Note that this only applies to a used CV joint, as new joints have
all matching bearings and unworn seats and cages.
