RE: Oil Pressure Survey/ clicking valves

Every VW mechanic I have brought my 16V to says they are notorious for have "bad" lifters (hydraulic). I had mine replaced with my head gasket against my mechanics reccomendation, he said that 30,000 later they would tick just as they were at 188,000. Well almost like clock work the new lifters tick just as the old did, 24,000 later. HTH.

I am going to put in a G-grind soon, so I will be doing this anyway. I expect the clicking noise to go away after I do this.

I am almost certain the 16V has hydraulic lifters.
