Re: front wheel bearing question



A tie-rod splitter would be ideal... I've got
alignment tools at the house so usually I take off the
just the spindle.  However, hypotheticly(sp?) you
could remove the spindle and the strut assemb. and
take it all to a local shop.  My wheel bearings cost
$30 apeace and Gateway charged me $5 to press the
bearing in.  $35 vs. $150 at the local shop...Hmmm,
let me think, $35 and about an hour was worth it to
me:)
