WTB: VW in NW IN

Did I abbreviate thoroughly enough?

Anyway, I have a sister in college at Valparaiso University in NW Indiana
who is looking for a car.  She really would like a convertible of some sort,
but in her search she has actually relegated herself to looking at a couple
of Mercury Capris.  I quickly told her that wasn't the right car for her (or
anyone!).  I think she is realizing that she isn't going to be able to
afford a 'vert on her budget.

She probably doesn't have more than a couple grand to spend.  She said she
would be happy with a Jetta, etc. and she prefers a manual transmission.  If
anyone has a VW for sale in her area (or my area - I'm in Columbus, IN),
please let me know ASAP.  She will want something reliable and in decent
shape, but she isn't afraid to work on it either.
