RE: Materialfor Trunk Lid



It's compressed fibre board, like hardboard/pegboard - the stuff that's
shiny on one side & rough on the other. Most of the stuff I've seen, though,
is much thinner than what they used.  1/4" MDF might look alright with a bit
of work, if you transplant the support bars off another shelf.  Thicker
board, or bracing, is more practical though - the original lids are really
much too flexible in stock form, if you want to mount speakers.
