RE: Radiator Hose Question

Norm, I can't believe you kept driving around on that hose! Didn't last
much longer, did it? As for refilling your system, since you've only had
the car for a short time and you don't know how long the coolant has been in
the car, it's a grand time to flush the whole system! Check the other hoses
too, as long as your system is drained, you're that much closer to changing
them. You should probably run a 50/50 mix of antifreeze (phosphate free)
and water.

Cool!

The Kragen that's closest to work (about 2 miles) has a new upper radiator
hose for my car. Good news!

Now for the question....I had a lot of steam coming up from under my hood.
The fluid cleaned a lot of grime off the parts where it hit, which I suppose
is good; but what do I need to replace the lost fluid with? Water?
Antifreeze? I've NEVER had this happen to me or anyone I know so I'm not
really sure what to do....!

Sorry if this is a stupid question!

All the best,
-Norm
