8V or 16V, doesn't matter folks.  It's a Scirocco and we're in this together
to try to keep as many onthe road.
Just relax, and take a good look to get an idea as from which area the oil
may be coming.   Front of motor, back of motor, sides, upper lower, etc.
Maybe some engine degreaser to clean off the existing mess.
I agree with Mark..
