Door Latch Mechanism

  My drivers side door latch mechanism has died.  The box on the
side of the door that houses the latch is the problem.  The latch
doesn't return to the position that will allow the post back in when
the door is shut.  The spring that causes it to return seems to be
broken.

Can I just get a new spring, or do I have to replace the whole
mechanism?  If anyone has a drivers side latch mechanism that they
can part with let me know.
